About me

My passion, and inspiration came from my Foster Dads Damascus knives he made and took to the outdoors. Later in life I was living in Ohio, and my friend I took a blacksmith/ blade smith class taught by Doug Lockheart. From there I built a coal forge out of a lawnmower deck and used a stump for my anvil stand. From that time to now, I've moved back home to Colorado, then traveled around the United States with my Wife while she was contracting as an RN and have had the honor of being mentored by FIF winner Cody Adolphson. Estes Park is now home where I continue to push my skills to new level.

"Let the anvil teach you, not defeat you."

My vision, and goals

I take great pride in my passion; in an artform, a skill that has been forgotten over the years, drowned by cheap product by big corporations that have forgotten quality; but like myself, and others in my community want to bring quality back to YOU.

Growing my skill, and knowledge:

After eight years I've entered into the American Blade smith Society (ABS) and I am currently an Apprentice Smith.

Teaching:

I will be doing single person classes coming fall 2026 for basic knife, forged, heat treated, and a sheath. Please contact me for more information.

I also want to develop a program for troubled youth to teach them this art and using it as a tool to forge the future they want.

My Goal

Continuing to improve my skills. Make quality blades that can be passed down to generations. Grow the CCLB, and knife maker community by way the Edge Show on YT. Most importantly use CCLB for Gods kingdom.

'' For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them."

Eph 2:10 esv

A Look into my world

After being away from home for 15 weeks, I'm back in my shop, and have some ideas.

There are cool bushcraft knives, and there are realistic ones that work.
